Individual Mentorship
Through The Social Work Neighborhood, we will set up mentees with a social work mentor after both parties submit applications. Mentors also complete an interview, and if a few factors align, the mentor and mentee are matched and may begin meeting.
We hold mentors and mentees to meet at least twice a month individually, and also offer group mentorship sessions at least once a month. You can see our events calendar for further details on group mentorship, or the group mentorship page.
When a mentor and mentee are matched, they schedule an initial meet & greet consultation to determine if they are a good fit. If so, they can align on goals, frequency of meetings, etc. If not, the program directors will assist the mentee in matching to a mentor of a better fit.
On this page, you may also find resources to support these individual mentorship meetings, to ensure both mentor and mentee are making the most out of this program.
